The Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay is claiming to be the world’s most powerful facial. So I wanted to find out just how powerful they meant.

This all-natural clay mask is made in Death Valley, California with 100% Calcium Bentonite. If you google Bentonite clay you will find many different uses for this natural powder, with its number one selling point being a cost-effective detox mechanism.

The Calcium Bentonite is a deep pore cleanser that helps remove all toxins and tightens the pores. The clay also helps to control an overproduction of sebum, sebum helps create those awful blackheads we try so hard to get rid of it. If you live in a major city, as I do, this clay will be extra beneficial to your pores as it helps fight everyday environmental toxins. Toxins such as VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) those awful chemicals emitted into the air from permanent markers to cleaning supplies and pesticides to construction site fumes,

I bet you didn’t know how many nasty things are clogging up your pores right now until I said all that!

The directions on the back states “mix clay equal parts with apple cider vinegar and or water.” The first time I tried the mask I mixed it with water and it came out very clumpy. I highly recommend mixing it with ACV instead. If you watch my youtube video on this mask you will see I mixed it with just under 1/4 of a cup of ACV and a bit of water. When you add the ACV the mask will start to fizz and once you start to stir the mixture the fizzing will stop.

Another reason you should make this mask with ACV is the benefits you’ll be adding into the mix. ACV helps reduce inflammation so adding it to the clay will help with the prevention of breakouts.  Together these two will make a killer duo and one hell of a super mask.

If you have sensitive skin I recommend testing the mask on a patch of skin on your arm before spreading the mask on your face.

I left the mask on my face for about 30 minutes. I recommend leaving the mask on until it is completely dry, then remove with warm water or in the shower.

Once you wash the face mask off do not be alarmed! Your face will be super red due to the tightening of your skin.

The redness will go down but it will take some time, at least 30 minutes.  I instantly noticed a difference in the softness of my skin. My skin was smoother and my blemishes had gone done drastically. My blackheads were minimized and one of my blemishes wasn’t even a bump anymore it was incredible!

This is what my skin looked like about 30 minutes after removing the face mask and putting on some moisturizer. I like to use Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer or Clinique’s Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief moisturizer. To purchase the Aztec Secret Healing Clay Mask click here.
